Quick Swedish Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 2lbs ground beef

  • 2c soft bread crumbs

  • 2 pkgs of cream cheese

  • 1/4 c dry onion soup mix

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

  • 2 1/2 c milk

  • 2 t flour

Preparation

  1. Combine first 6 ingredients and 1/2 cup milk.

  2. Shape into 40 small meatballs.

  3. Brown lightly in a large skillet.

  4. Cover, cook for 20-25 minutes or until done.

  5. Remove meat, drain off excess fat leaving 1/4 cup. 

  6. Blend flour into far, stir in remaining milk all at once. 

  7. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly. 

  8. Return the meatballs to skillet, cover and cook until heated through.
